THE PRACTICE

Swetzshop Architecture and Design specializes in high quality and detailed design. We focus on the creation of timeless spaces executed in a minimal and neutral manner; providing a blank canvas for unique personalization.

We leverage a wide network of like-minded talent, ranging from designers, to craftsman, to builders; in order to execute highly tailored designs, customized for each specific project need and client wish.

The quality of the finished product drives our effort, with no predetermined design aesthetic or alternative goals – so you can always be assured that your project will receive the attention and detail that it deserves.

FOUNDER

Dave Swetz, AIA LEEP AP

__

Dave has dedicated his career to the making of high-end residential homes in the Bay Area. With a quick wit and calm demeanor, his natural leadership and detailed work ethic allows him to take on various responsibilities to move projects forward smoothly.

Whether it involves complex sites, difficult neighborhoods, or demanding personalities – Dave has experienced them all. By nature, residential architects get to know their clients intimately, and Dave himself has watched his client’s children grow in the spaces designed for them. He has experienced their ups and downs, and been involved long after a project has completed. Through all these experiences, clients have always come back to Dave to keep him updated with new family members, holiday greetings, and potential new projects. Sometimes the most difficult projects have yielded the most galvanized relationships, and continue to this day.

He is a proud Huskie from Northeastern University, and a licensed architect in the State of California.

THE DOG

Pepper

__

Pepper has been boosting office morale even before Swetzshop’s beginning. She has been a strong advocate for work and life balance for over 10 years, through constant antics and laughter. Extremely food motivated, she hates toys, but is an excellent model for architectural photoshoot scenes.

Pepper is a California native, and a non-designer breed – a true mutt somewhere between chihuahua and terrier. …or so we were told.
